ABA Vancouver Dragons Added Center Soumaila Samake
Vancouver Dragons added to their roster experienced 40-year old Mali ex-international center Soumaila Samake (215-104kg-78). just graduated from Kebs de Laval.
In 2000 he was drafted by New Jersey Nets (NBA) in second round (36th overall).
Samake’s team made it to the NBL Canada Semifinals in 2012.
He also represented Mali at the African Championships in Madagascar seven years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 5.0ppg, 6.2rpg.
Samake is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Samake tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. He has played previously for Denver Nuggets, Mornar Bar, Uhud, Slovan, Golden Bulls, Jilin Tigers, Zain and BEEM.
Samake is close to retirement age as a player. It’s very possible he may end his playing career at Dragons.
On Samake: A intimidating giant in the middle, great shot-blocker and rebounder, with impressive wingspan. Shoots almost near to the basket, and this grants him great accuracy.
